2000 Grand AM battery terminal

Hi guys and gals,

I am in the process of putting in my system and i've run into a hitch.
I have a 2000 pontiac grand am and being a GM car, it has side mount battery
terminals. my question is the power wires from my car run into a harness
type thing that is part of the terminal it self. it unscrews but it appears
that i can only use it with the stock terminal. i wanted to use a RF
terminal with a longer post for more ring terminals, is there anything i can
do short of cutting off the harness and using separate ring terminals for
all the power wires?

spanky- any autoparts store should have a side post extender- you just
push out the old bolt, and snap in the new one which is longer and has
an extra nut for your accessories. Steve
