Wow theres alot of things changin since i bought my GMH-100! Remember those
anyone<G>? Anybody have any suggestions on a entry level (read inexpensive)
two channel amp? I don't really need any onboard crossovers or stuff i just
need a cheap stable 2 channel bridgable amp to run a sub or maybe buy

You can still find the small-footprint Blaupunkt PA275's and PA2100's on
ebay for around $100. I have 2 of them and like them very much. They
run very cool also.

joints on the PCB's as they got older....

Yeah..umm mine always did run a "little hot" I was just using it as an
example to show you how long its been since i actually did an install
myself. Some things didn't really change much (JL is still around and kickin
<G>) but im seeing a flood of cheaper amps lately and am just wondering
what's decent and what's Sarkomatic/Pyramid quality....

JBL makes some reasonably priced amps that do the job well.

Also, I've had excellent luck with US Acoustics when installing for
friends and family members who are on a budget.

Sounddomain.com has a sale right now on all of their amps.
