Grundig SC 303

hi all

new to this group as i have only just got my first car.

i have a grundig 303 unit in there (rover 218 1.9TD) it has written on the
metal case of it "cav 5913" so i am assuming thats the actual code, thing
is, when i turn it on it reads "3104" and then changes to "safe" a few
seconds later. i have read so far i need to press and hold AS and that is
having no effect at all now, also tried holding U too. again no effect.


anyone got any ideas? unplugging radio and wiping it or something (forgive
the oddness, i have no idea with these matters yet"

update, after leaving the radio on with the ignition on it showed
"5 --------" so entered the 5913 code and it failed to open it, i take it
there is no one out their who has a calc for this ?

or is it a local car stereo place to get it decoded ?

I would call the dealer. Then if that fails a high end car stereo shop.
