You are obviously part of "The committe to defeat the President..again". We
have lost over 4 million jobs in manufacturing alone. How do you think that
people will obtain health care huh? Many retirees are having their plans
cancelled and many employers are doing like Wal-Mart and not offering it. You
are just a little too flip about this idiot and his impact. As for the
deficit...no way this is going to be paid off "in a couple of years". Even his
own party is walking away from him in the Congress in regards to the budget.

Really? The last kook only claimed 2.6 million. BLS statistics show that
while 2.6 million jobs were lost, 2.3 million jobs were gained, and
combined with the contraction of the workforce, we have a mere 5.6%
unemployment - that's very low, by the way. Clinton averaged about 7%.

> How do you think that
> people will obtain health care huh?

Probably the same way everyone else does - pay for it. People like you
make healthcare sound like buying a car, but I've payed for private
health insurance. It's usually about $75 a month for medical and dental,
and you get really good PPO plans at $100. Let's see, all you need to do
is turn off cable TV and skip a weekend of clubbing to afford that. A
kid working Burger King or McDonalds gets even better PPO type plans for
only $30/mo with $12 for dental options.

Keep pretending that the cost of health care is prohibitive, and keep
dreaming of that socialist utopia in the sky where komrade marx provides
for everything, though.

Stop reading "newspapers", and do you some thinking for yourself. The
BLS website has downloadable and detailed stats for employment, data,
industrial output, etc etc etc. While you might harp on Walm Mart and
"many employers" allegedly cancelling benefits programs, the truth is
that benefit programs are up, and real wages are up.

Ignorance is bliss.

Do the people who don't vote refrain because they don't like who's running? Or
is it because they don't care?

If the former, you're caught in a double bind (ie, they won't vote _until_
someone "good" runs). If the latter, they shouldn't be voting at all.

Their reasons may be manifold. Their reasons are irrelevent - the fact
that they don't vote is the direct cause of the overall disatisfaction
with the current state of politics (assuming there is disatisfaction).

Well, I once installed a headunit for a guy who mowed the lawn for
Bush's State Attorney General when he was Governor of Texas, so....I was
*close*.

Well if its too easy, go for it. I'd love to see you spout the same
populist bull**** explanatin I've been hearing for years, and I'd love
it even more if you had a new theory.

Funny - you people are all about fear.

I never said it was. But they both need to be reworked.

No. They don't. Please do some research before spouting this kind of
uninformed populist bull****. The political spectrum in this country is
not large enough to accomodate more than two parties. Don't believe me?
Do the research yourself. The socialists, communists, and greens all say
the same thing and go after the same vote, and all they do is detract
from Democrat votes. Reform and Libertarian parties do the same thing to
Republicans. You can add as many labels as you want, but there are only
four corners in the political ring, and everybody is more or less
between each of them at any given point.

And that is all Bush's fault I suppose? I don't think so.

I get tired of hearing this. Compared to the total number of jobs
lost in the last three years, this hardly comes close to making
it even.

Oh - Bank of America is looking to cut 15,000 jobs thanks to
a merger.

Don't see democratic social spending going away too soon either?
Coincidence?

You are a math flunkie, aren't you. This is a better number than before
the dot-com bust. There is lower unemployment now in 2004 than there was
in 2000. And it's real jobs, not burger flipping jobs.

....and Microsoft will add 3,500 new jobs this year, Unisys 1,300, Dell
4,000, SRP 3,300, MCI Worldcom 4,000, and so on, and so on.

Did you only learn about subtraction in school?

Same way your average schmoe can still buy food when they're short on
cash. Credit. I'ts more complicated than that, but you're too much of a
