What is the Polk Audio XRt12?
A. The XRt12 is the world's first component-style XM radio tuner for
the home. It is the best sounding and most convenient way to get XM
programming into your home audio system. It connects to any audio
system and fits in any rack or piece of audio furniture
((snip))
Q. Will I be able to connect this tuner to my PC using the RS232 serial
port on the back?
A. No. The serial port is for connecting the XRt12 to whole house audio
distribution systems such as the AMX, Crestron and NetStreams systems.
And why couldn't I hook it to a computer RS232 port? Does the Crestron
control it or the other way around?
Q. How can I hook this tuner up to my audio system?
A. The XRt12 easily connects to any audio component that has stereo RCA
type input jacks. It also connects to digital inputs commonly found on
Surround Sound receivers and processors. The XRt12 has both optical and
coaxial digital outputs.
Consumo SPDIF I'm suire. But still digital. Aren't they afraid of
digital copying??
