New MTX Amps?

Hello all I was looking at the 500D and the 801D mono amps. Is the new
801 just as good as the older MTX?

I have a pair of 801d's in my car,they work great. The 6500d is also a good
amp.

Thanks for the info, now I have another amp to investigate the
6500d.
