I can get a Phoenix Gold Xenon 120w x 4 at 4ohms and a cooling fan,
etc. 270.00, MTX Thunder 90 x 4 @ 4 ohms 289.00, Sound Stream 90 x 4 @
4ohms and a Phoenix GOld Ocatane R8.04 120 x 4 @ 4 0hms.

The PG Ocatane is obviously the most power for the buck, however, the
Xenon serious has more high-end compnenets and a fan for cooling. The
Xenon also weighs a lot more. I belive the shipping weight is 18lbs.
vs. 8 lbs. for the Octane. Weight is not a guage for quality but I
belive the Xenon is much beefier in design and got a great review for
SQ. I would appreciate advice. Thanks in advance

YOu should go for one with fan if the price is not the big deal.
The worst trouble for the amp is about over-heating so you need
a cooling system.

I have never owned an Octane, but from the sound if it this may be your
logical choice. If you have it mounted somwhere in the open then a cooling
fan is probably not necessary. You're not going to notice any difference in
SQ between the Octane and the Xenon. You can also check out eBay for the
discontinued Titanium PG amps. They're more flexible in installation terms
than the Octane, have a fan, and you might be able to find them cheaper than
the Xenons (and they're smaller too). I'm a little biased here, but I love
my PG amps.
