Hey Everyone,
I would like some opinions on the order of rack mount
processing devices I have for home audio.
I currently have the following:
* Alesis 3630 Compressor/Dynamics Processor/Limiter/Gate
* Behringer Ultragraph Pro 3102 EQ
* Aphex 204c Aural Exciter with Big Bottom
What I want to acheive is a well balanced, dynamics processed
sound without it sounding heavily compressed or whatever else.
It sounds pretty good if I have it setup in the following order:
Preamp audio out to..
Audio in on Alesis to..
Audio in on Aphex to..
Audio in on EQ to..
Audio in on amp
It's sounding good, but the Aphex had a tremendous noise floor
of about -30 db.
Does anyone have some insight as to the proper order I should
be using?
This is in a home audio enviroment, non-surround. Simple two
channels.
Any input you have is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
JP
