The Rode glossy makes a lot of noise about their fancy old valve
characteristic tester, for what that's worth .....

The Sovtek 6922 can be a excellent sounding tube. I've never heard a
6DJ8 that sounds worth a damm. If the Roads has the space and
fillament overhead for a 6FQ7 (very unlikely), that would be worth a
listen.
