Hi,
I'm having a stupid problem somebody here may be able to help me with,
thanks for reading.
Some time ago, the elastic band from the ea-1 shockmount of my TLM-103 came
undone due to a clumsy move. At that point, the band/rope was still pretty
tight, so I'm ruling out elastic wear as a factor.
Re-threading the elastic correctly seems to be a problem. I've studied
close-up pics of the ea-1 from online sales pages, to reproduce the
threading pattern accurately, but I keep coming up with too much slack in
the entire suspension system, although my attempts now optically match the
original setup (or seem to do so). Too much slack meaning: the weight of the
mic is no longer supported in a reliable fashion (keeps popping out at the
slightest contact).
I could not find an explicit step-by-step instruction anywhere, and Neumann
local "support" does not answer queries.
Grateful for any pointers.
