This has been re-listed. Someone with no feedback history bid up and
won it but then just couldn't get around to paying. It's been a big pain
and waste of time, ughh... so, here's a second chance if you're interested:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3761537719
This includes all the cables and original software for this ProTools III 888
I/O unit and three DSP Farm Cards and a disk I/O card. Yes... the a/d is
only 16 bit and the d/a only 18 bit, but the SPDIF and AES/EBU digital IO
are all 24 bit, if you use it on a PCI system. Yes... all the boards are
NuBus based which won't pass the full 24 bits, but you can pick up the Mac
hardware for almost nothing online and then have yourself an inexpensive
digital dsp unit. Or maybe you'll just want the 888, but you get it all.

Why not just offer it to the next highest bidder? Is that against the
rules? eBay is for sellers, and I would think that this would be
allowed.

yes, they have a "second chance" link, or something like that. i don't use
ebay a lot and i was so annoyed with this jerk who emailed twice that he was
paying by paypal the next day, and said as much again by phone, but never
did. he really overbid for what he was buying and probably was beginning to
figure that out. anyhow, sometimes annoyance (anger) can blind you to
common sense and i didn't think to click the "second chance" link before i'd
already re-listed it. the next highest bidder was also overvaluing this, so
perhaps i missed a good opportunity or perhaps i just avoided more trouble -
who knows. i'm ready to ship it for whatever it sells at, and right now
it's just $25 - woohoo!!
