Many great Neve and API consoles have been stripped of the input
channels, reboxed and sold to many happy buyers. Yamaha PM1000 series
strips have been also seen for sale.

With Soundcraft 6000 consoles being real cheap now my question arises:
Are these channel strips roughly equivalent to what quality of pre?
Better or worse than for instance Presonus MP20? Digidesign Mbox?

Thanks

The below link is a discussion of using the soundcraft 2400 modules as a
channel strip. I know its not a 6K but if you search that forum I
believe a couple months back there was discussion about the 6K modules
being racked as 'channel strips'
