I know this has been mentioned before, but after seeing it tonight on Sundance
let me add my kudos for this doc. This guy had a magical way of cutting
through all the bull**** and lending his warm and supportive presence to all
his musical situations. Somebody in the show said that he was the most
positive person they had ever met. When I leave the house for the studio
tomorrow morning I'm going to take a little bit of that with me.

Everybody should see this, (even if there is more footage of Lynard Skynard
than Aretha).

I saw this too, didn't know who Tom Dowd was until I watched the show.
He was certainly an upbeat guy. I suspect he went out of his way to
surround himself
with really smart, creative people.

Like you, I'm going to work at trying to be a little more like Tom
Dowd. :>)

Does anyone know if Sundance or any other channel will be running this film
again? I missed it the first time.

It's ran 3 times this week already. It's not showing on my current cable
schedule (which lists the next 72 hours) though.

For me, buying a DVD player and the disk is cheaper than subscribing
to cable so I can watch it at when they show it.

I haven't done either yet, but one of these days . . .
