I read the review on Sirius. I noticed the date of the review to be
Feb 2004. I generally agree with the article, however, the reviewer
really slams Sirius' sound quality. I have Sirius and it sounds good
to me. I have not noticed the compressed sound that he write about.
Is it possible that Sirius has improved their sound quality since the
article was written?

It depends what stream. The talk radio streams sound even worse than AM.
The music streams are variable, "at least" Sirius seems to allocate more
bandwith to
music genres worthy of better sound quality.

XM sounds halfway passable: Sirius flat sucks.

Nothing beats the bandwidth of a station wagon filled with DLT tapes.

I don't think anyone would listen to your opinion. Why is XM halfway
passable and why does Sirius suck. Give some details and maybe you
opinion may matter.

R is a douchebag and as for you, you can just LISTEN TO THE TWO
YOURSELF and MAKE UP YOUR OWN GODDAMN MIND. But if your ears are like
everyone else's you will probably agree with every comparative review I
have seen so far...XM's audio wins hands down.

I had a one subscription of XM web service and I have had Sirius for
about 2 months. I listen mostly to blues, swing and classical and XM
and Sirius are very similar to my ears.

As for every comparative review saying that XM wins hands down, I
haven't found that to be true. I have read every review I could find
comparing XM and Sirius before I made the commitment to buy one of
them. I have seen more reviews that favor Sirius content over XM. I
have included two such reviews below. The Edmunds review is the most
detailed review I have seen yet. They listen to both services for 60
days before giving their evaluation.

A miserable prick like yourself should first go screw himself then
walk into a raging forest fire.

I can't comment on the sound quality, since I've never used XM, but
I'll have to say that Sirius has some "SERIOUSLY" good programming.
The Little Steven produced American Garage channel is but an example,
even if it's a bit "samey" sometimes.

There are some great channels out there. Just the othernight, I heard
a great interview with famed rock photograher" Bob Gruen. They played
some great music that pertained to his comments (some nice NY Dolls
tracks). Gruen told some cool stories.

One drawback is that you'll hear a lot of the same songs repeated if
you listen to a particular program long enough.

They should hire me for a program done remotely from my home!

I may be a prick but i'm a happy one-much more so than people with no
sense of humor.

Generally everyone who has heard both thinks XM sounds better. Your
mileage may vary, so as I said listen yourself.
