I've found a Vocal Splicer by Studio City Sound Corp., which was
designed by Ian Eales and is used to comp vocals (or anything else).
Its a box with a master gain fader, 8 ins, 2 outs, a loop send and
return, and a crossfader that lets you select which takes you are
crossfading between, and then control the crossfade from A to B. Is
this device worth anything in this age of digital editing? Does
anyone have any idea where the best place to try to sell one of these
is, or if it retains any value? It sold originally for $1200 new.
