Because then you'd need a computer to play them back. And that
computer would also need to have 192kHz playback capability. I have
more friends with DVDAudio players than computers with 192kHz outputs.
I know some home DVD/CD players can play MP3 and WAV but I believe
they can only handle those formats if its on CDR not DVDR.

That's true, I just didn't notice any overt announcement on the Steinberg
site, like I did on the Samplitude site for v8.0.

Actually Samplitude version 8 as well as Sequoia version 8 are not vapor
ware if you speak German....
