Yamaha i88x vs. MOTU 828 mkII

Hi audio.pro'ers, can anybody suggest what is the best firewire audio
interface? I am confused by all the options without enough information
to choose between them. Has anybody used the yamaha i88x or the motu
828 mkII? Are there any other options in that price range? Does the
tascam fw-1884 compare in terms of pre-amp quality to these two?

Any help on this matter will be greatly appreciated...
