I decided to go for the EMU 0404 soundcard and have now installed it. The
channel strips light up so I know there is a signal going in, but I can't
seem to get any output to recording software.
I was hoping this was just down to me missing something in the manual (I'm
new to ASIO drivers and suchlike) but when I go into Windows XP Control
Panel and click on Audio / Sound Recording / Volume it gives this error:
"There is a problem with your sound hardware. To install mixer devices, go
to Control Panel, click Printers and Other Hardware, and then click Add
Hardware"
Tried re-installing the software but to no avail. According to device
manager all audio devices are working OK. I have disabled the onboard sound.
I have sent an email sent to EMU, but was wondering if anyone here had any
tips? (apart from go and buy an Audiophile 2496 instead!)
System = ASUS A7N8X Deluxe motherboard with AMD CPU running Windows XP if
that helps at all.
Thanks in advance.
