C-414 CK12 sounds best thru UA 610 also sounds pretty darn good thru API 312,
OSA MP-1L,John Hardy M1, manley 40db.....this is for voice/singing.

The same mic I like to use on bass rigs with -10db pad thru the UA 610 or Neve
1272, or 33122.

This bass set up goes for the ULS version as well, usually using -20db pad.

Audio Upgrades modified 414B's into Audio Upgrades High Speed Mic
Preamp. Sounds like the source.
