Hello All,
I'm having problems transferring files back to my MDR using WS_FTP Pro. I
can retrieve files from the Mackie, and, according to my computer screen,
the files are transferred back..However, they do not show up on the Mackie
display. I suspect I'm making a dumb error, but I'm new to FTP...Any
suggestions appreciated. My MDR will not recognize my removeable hard
drive, which is why I'm using the FTP method..I'm running Windows XP, and
all of the connections appear to be correct. Any advice would be
appreciated..I really need to free up space on the Mackie.
Thanks,
Dave

Hi Mike,
Thanks for responding so quickly. My goal , at this point, is to free
up space on my MDR for upcoming sessions via FTP, and transfer them
back once these sessions are mixed and off the Mackie. I attempted
to do this by moving an entire project folder from the MDR to my
computer (Windows XP) I then deleted the project on the Mackie via
the front panel of the MDR, and assumed that I could then create a new
project name and FTP the files back to the Mackie. Even though my
computer screen indicated that a transfer had taken place, the Mackie
did not seem to "see" the new info. I'm using version 1.2 OS on the
MDR. I think that using the M-90 (genuine) is a non-issue at this
point. I've gone through tech support, and re-installed the OS as
well as flashed the BIOS to try to solve the problem. Tech support
then said the only thing left to try was re-formatting the hard drive
which, of coarse, I can't do as long as I have projects which need to
be completed. Hence, the FTP idea. I hope I've been clear in trying to
explain the problem...The book would be a best seller..useable
documentation is, indeed, lacking for this product. Again, my thanks
for your response, and any ideas are much appreciated.

Hi Dave,
Thanks for responding..I suspect I haven't been creating a proper
folder to put the project back into..I responded to Mike, who has good
information as well..Again, thanks for your post, it's much
appreciated.
