Thank you to those who made comments on my decision. I love this
thing. It is perfect for my applications i.e. depositions; hearings;
DL matters; witness interviews, etc etc. Very light, instant tranfer
to computer for buring to CD and off to the client. They are happy
and so am I.
I can hear no difference between the WAV capture and the MP3/44.1/128
capture and I can go all day on a 512 - 1 gig card. I see you can get
a 1 giger for about $150 at NewEgg. The manual sets it at 32 for mono
voice so I am wondering if 128 is even necessary.
I also ordered the $100 hard carrying case since I move around a lot.
As an aside, I am amazed sometimes as to how technologically deficient
most lawyers are. They have no idea what an MPEG file is, never heard
of a Newsgroup, etc etc. I think our Florida Bar is still using
WordPerfect for DOS.....
Anyhow, I have a very nice Sony portable cassette player for sale if
anyone is interested. Actually I will keep it in the case with a few
blank tapes just as a back up. Can't beat it from a size standpoint.
Thanks again to those who commented.
