I know this is RAP, not a computer hardware newsgroup, but you guys are very
knowledgeable in many areas. Plus, it's a computer used strictly for audio.
I just got a small cube type computer for location recording and something
is awry. There is no signal transmitted to my monitor and I have tried both
the onboard video and a video card in the AGP slot. Also, the hard drive
will spin and the CDRom drive will open if only the power is connected, but
not when the IDE cables are plugged in.
Does this sound like a motherboard failure? I can send it back to the
manufacturer on Monday, but I thought maybe someone would have a suggestion
before then. Thanks for your help.
