OK, I have one of these that recently stopped working (something rattling
about inside). I tried to open it up, but I couldn't get the screw to
unscrew.... all of the sudden, it dawned on me... could this be one of those
screws you need to screw IN to remove the case?

Otherwise, maybe someone can shed some light on how to open one of these bad
boys up.

Yes, you have to screw it in all the way to get the case off. I had one
break on me also, the screws aren't too sturdy and will break readily. I
need to find a source for some replacements.

Yes. Then you twist the body.

Something ratting around inside often turns out to be a screw, too.

Me too. Has anyone put a thread gauge on one of these, or just happen
to know what size they are?

I don't know either, but will you please let me know? Let's just say... I
was less gentle then I should have been when trying to unscrew the darned
things!
