Hello all,

'first timer' means first time with computer software based synths. First =
Korg Legacy Collection/MS-20 controller.

This is the first for me, so when you see my really naive stupid
mistakes, hey what can i say...

Anyway, long story short, I installed the Legacy software no problem,
MS-20-ish controller [i used to own one, sigh...] installed no
problem.

Problem or not? = Latency? It says 46ms. When I play, there is what
seems a LOT longer time then 46ms between key hit and hearing sound.

I am running this on a laptop with pentium 4 2.66GHz with 700MB ram,
using ASIO drivers, and the delay is horrible. I'm obviously doing
something wrong.

The Korg Manual suggest tweaking buffer size and samples to optimize
performance and minimize Latency, and then, nothing.

Us stupid non techo's have no idea what numbers are 'best' and how
they relate.

I also bought, and succesfully installed a Radium 61 key controller,
as real-time playing is my main thing.

How low should my latency be? Is zero possible? [ive heard the term,
but again...]

Thanx!
