For $165 ($5 more than a local audiologist makes customer earplugs),
that may seem like a good deal.. but I'll add some healthy skepticism:
a) "custom" and "ebay" don't mix for reasons elaborated below.
b) why on earth would an audiologist do an impression for
free? $5? And don't kid yourself, putting an ear
impressiaon in yourself ain't gonna be pretty.
c) Who's going to guarantee that the molding job they do in
the faraway lab is satisfactory? Fits correctly? Doesn't
have potentially dangeous gaps leaving ones ears vulnerable
to pass through stage volume?
At least if you make a "$500+ mistake" as the copy warns you, you have
a brick and mortar audiologist to complain to who can remold things,
inspect the fit, and make it right. With these cats, you've got folks
in some faraway lab that you'll never see.
And by the way, you should check out your ebay page in
Mozilla/Netscape 6--blech.
Best Regards,
