I was wondering if this is a problem that can happen on a stock 2001
jetta monsoon radio I had problems with my stock radio (a tape adapter
was stuck inside) and the dealer tried to pass a 800 dollar bill on to
me) After a lengthy letter describing their malpractice they gave me a
new radio but i haven't had AM working on it since. I know that I'll
eventually buy a new radio but have issues with the MF steering wheel
not working after I get it replaced. In the meantime do you think that
this is something that they simply over looked when they performed the
92 dollar diagnostic on it? They told me the radio was giving error
codes, etc, and that the problem lie in the antannae. They wanted my
authorization for a 300 tear down of my vehicle to fully test the issue
wherein an insurance rep would have to be present to deny or approve the
claim. I obviously declined as the situation was escalating into the
ground. I have since wrote the dealership explaining that this was
rediculous. Can anyone provide any insight into this? Besides don't deal
with dealerships, etc. ??? Thanks!
