JL10WO vs Infinity Prefect 10.1

Is this bad comparison of subwoofers as I currently have the JL but seen a
very nice prefect 10.1. I have a ported box which the JL plays pretty well
in but was considering the change to the 10.1 sub.

I currently have a Genesis stereo 100 bridged pushing the JL, enough for the
10.1 sub u think? Do these 10.1 subs hit hard and low?

It's' a tough call. The Perfect will work in a much smaller enclosure but
the JL is more efficient. I would say the SQ edge would go to the Perfect
(but not by much) as all JL woofers sound great.

Hi Paul

Hope all is well.....I was just checking out the 10.1 in the shops and the
magnet and construction looks a hell lot better than my 10WO. I really
wanted to get the W3 but choice is so limited over here I had no other
option. U think upgrading to a W3 would be a great improvement over the
WO? The JLB300.1 has been sold and the genesis...well....a LOT better! haha

Hey Jim,
Pay no attention to the material differences. Up until the W7's JL *never*
used a cast basket on anything. My old 10W6s had stamped baskets as well
and they were awesome. The magnet size isn't an issue either since the JL
needs a bigger box so motor strength isn't as critical. If you put it in a
small box it would suck, but stick to the recommended enclosures and you'll
be fine.

I wouldn't waste your time with the 10.1 . I tried one out in many
different boxes and many different amplifier cofigurations and was never
happy with it. I have had many JL subs and they have never let me down
in terms of efficiency, sound quality and just plain loudness.

I've stuck the 10WO in a sealed box now and with the correct power it does
hit hard and loud.

Thanks GLN305 for the comments, better save my money for a W3 via online
