to test the bass in my system

download some stuff by bass mekanik. Also search for a song called
"digital bass" and THX - Ultimate bass test.

Make your own ;o)

For a while I was into producing and made all sorts of weird audio
concoctions. That doesn't mean that any of them are any good though!
However, one of them turned out to be quite useful for testing my installs.
It's dead simple with a clean bass riff and kick & snare so you know when
things start distorting.

Saint Saens Symphony number 3 with Virgil Fox on pipe organ is a VERY
good test, IMO. It really exposes the flaws in just about any system,
particularly during movement 2. Not only does a system have to
reproduce the bass, it has to reproduce very low organ notes. If there
is some bad resinating going on in your car, you WILL hear it with this
one, everytime he changes notes.

Im surprised no ones mentioned Telarc classical collections. Some of the
sub bass on those recordings will destroy all but the best equipment.
