Cool edit: Vocal cut

Hello,

I use Cool Edit Pro 2 which has the effect Vocal cut in Channel Mixer.
I suppose it fades out the parts that are equal in both channels. Now I
have a song where the instuments are in both channels and the voices
left or right. How can I change the settings so that the instuments
stay and the voices are faded out?
