I was wondering if the SACD's play in the 5.1 format, as in home theater,
or do they have their own format. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

SACD is its own 2.0-5.1 format, separate from Dolby Digital and DTS.
Decoders divorced from players (as you can find with DVD players that
don't decode DTS and separate DTS decoders) are rare, and
brand-specific. Otherwise, your main option is a SACD player with 5.1
discrete analog outputs and an amplifier or receiver with 5.1 discrete
analog inputs.

Thanks Matthew.
