View Full Version : Can I use a SACD player as a DAC for other digital sources?

Hi,
The SACD player I'm looking at has a coax input. Can I plug a digital
audio receiver (DAR) into my SACD to play digital music from my PC
through my analog amp? I don't think I can, but want to make sure
before investing in a seperate DAC for the DAR.
Thanks,
Ellison

The owner's manual might be of some help. What player is this?
Why the DAR? The PC signal is already digital and if the player has a
digital input, it should use its DAC for conversion.

It's the Xindak SACD2- Unfortunately foregoing an owner's manual is
one of the sacrifices I made to get the highest quality player I could
within my budget.

Why are there so many more references to the Xindac SCD2? Same box?
If so, there are some pretty detailed pix front and back at
http://gon4.audiogon.com/i/c/f/1088492882.jpg . While I don't read oriental
characters, my sense of audio goesintas and comeoutas says that there are
only outputs, here.
The Xindac audio website at http://www.xindakaudio.com/ seems to be down.
Has Xindac gone the way of tubes?

My favorite dozen tube sites are all up and running.
