How much does it take to corrupt the UN? With France on the security
council a lot less than I would have thought.

I think the US should pursue a revision of the UN charter to remove
France from permanent membership to the security council and suspend
Russian for at least a year. Reality is neither of these countries
deserve the position in light of the decline of their nations.

What's the point you won't understand it anyway, and if you do, you'll just
lie about it.

I happen to agree that to root out terrorism we need to root out the cause
which is the oppression and suffering of people whose resentment has been
misdirected by Islamic militants against western culture. Give them a
taste of how we live and only the hard core fanatics who use oppression in
the name of Allah to maintain there status will be against us. There
numbers are very few.

Have you already imagined that they could don't care about "how you live" ?

Can you imagine that people could hate the way you live ?

Can you imagine that people don't want to belong to a "democracy" in
which the president has been doubtfully elected ?

Can you imagine that people don't want to be one more of the 30% obese
Americans ?

Can you imagine that people don't want Hollywood productions, McDonald,
Coca-Cola... and all the ****ty products that your country is spreading
all around the world ?

Do you know that profiting of the lack of health policy in poor
countries US cigarettes manufacturers use to sell at a *VERY* *VERY* low
price a poison which will kill next year *much* more people than all
drugs around the world ? Much more people that any other WMDs ?

USA are burning 25% of the world energy burned each day. USA is about
3.5% of the world population.
Are you sure that you are ready to share your air conditionned with your
poor Mexican neighbours ?

Don't make me laugh, "ScottW", today US foreign policy has nothing to do
with a democrat proselytism but rather to enslavement.
You belong to a colonialist country, deal with it.

Alternative? The nice thing about a democracy is that there is always
another election. I guess a monarchy must have a prince and a dictator must
have... what?

I don't smoke. Never have. Do you? Free democracies can regulate and tax
tobacco. We do. We tax the crap out of booze and tobacco.

Ridiculous, nothing you say here provides one shred of evidence. Reality
is... if the rest of the world hates American culture while desperately
trying to emulate it they have only themselves to blame. Personally I think
you're just upset that your socialist lazy asses are faced with declining
standards of living so you want someone to blame. Face facts... McDonalds
and Hollywood have nothing to do with the real cause of your plight.

And according to your corrupt, socialist leader Chirac, France IS one

So enough of your insolence -- bow before your Master, little man, or

We definitely don't agree on France or the French people. I don't judge people

What's wrong with that ?
Why it is sad ?
The exported American culture is showing its limits since a long time. A
patchwork of sordid business and mediocrity.
Yesterday I was joking with friends saying that 2 very conservative
Americans were quoting Frank Zappa to support their demonstration. Such
level of *schizophrenia* is simply incredible !!!
....We have had a good laugh.

It's a pity that you are so historicaly ignorant, Sackman.
Once again, the above, is the demonstration of your narrowness, your
racism and your xenophobia.

Lioness offers yet another pre-emptive surrender:

>
> What's wrong with that ?
> Why it is sad ?

Gee, I dunno, Lioness...

Maybe it's the rampant terrorism, the medieval treatment of women, the
rank, murderous anti-semitism, the desire to impose fascistic Islamic
rule the world over, the illiteracy, the sheer irrationality of their
worldview...

None of this strikes you as wrong?

None of this strikes you as sad?

Is your national corruption, dishonor and amorality really this
deep-seated?

I remember that too, about the sanctions, and the killing, and the
bribing, and the food part. But really, is there's some way you
could comment on other matter aside from the current political
events on this ng?

Their God is the one giving orders to kill the infidels.
"At least", that's what they claim he is saying.
Neither the Christians nor the Jews
are claiming their God gives orders to kill infidels.

I think fundimentalist extremists from each religious faction are guilty of the
same sort of thing in one way or another. Muslims hardly have an exclusive on
hate or murder. Your assertion is completely unbalanced. Christians have a
pretty bad record when it comes to genocide even in our time.

There certainly isn't much other stuff going on in comparison to

nothing that has such a massive following.

Are you forgetting the attempted genocide of the Muslim Albanians by the
Christian Serbs? Maybe you are forgetting Kashmire? Tribal atrocities in
Africa? That's just off the top of my head.

No more politics for me on RAO, at least for a while. I'd rather talk about the
miracle on vinyl that is the S&P reissue of Nat King Cole Just one of those
things. It makes me wonder how many other recordings assumed to be mediocre
have the potential to be demo quality in the hands of Steve Hoffman. What he
did with this recording is beyond belief.

Just as the world ignored 20 years of murder and atrocity by the KLA
harbored and abetted by Muslim Albanians. What would we do if hispanics
began a campaign of murder in So. Cal to return the land to Mexico. A
campaign condoned by latin community? When would enough be enough? The
Serbs were vicious but the Albanians were anything but innocent and continue
their campaign of murder and atrocity. I have no solutions but I fear
history will find Nato actions in Serbia as the first outbreak of a global
conflict fought over the next 200 years in which we will eventually come to
side with the Serbs.

I like to think of much of our discussions as history rather than politics.

We disagree. I fear there is a built in belief that Christians are inherently
more valuable as human beings than Muslims in your claims on the issue. Please
tell me that isn't true. Please tell me I am mistaken in that impression.

In an other words ScottW is proposing you a kind of *badinage* around
the recent genocides, an informal tour of the last "horror shows".

"Don't worry Wheeler, all this hasn't any importance since we still can

And what about the incredibly hypocrit discretion of the Catholic Romane
Church concerning shoah during the 30s, the WWII and the years which
have followed.
Did God asked them to shut up ?
What about the modern Zealots, the Jewish fundamentalists which are
builting *illegal* colonies on the Palestinian ground ?

The Pope didn't give orders to kill non-Christians
Rabbi's don't give orders to kill Gentiles.
Mullahs 'are' giving orders to kill infidels.

Not more valuable. More tolerant. I place more value on tolerance
and peaceful coexistance. When one group refuses to peacefully
coexist, they assume the burden of guilt. I tend to believe that
people acting in the defense of their people and country do not
forfeit their innocence. Kosovo Albanians should have been
repatriated to Albania. Perhaps the UN should have undertaken the
process to insure it was done as peacefully as possible but to bomb
the Serbs who were acting in their own self defense was just wrong.

Wrong guy George, I don't have a problem with what people buy.... I have a
problem with what people sell.
But I'm not beheading anyone over it.

No it said he wanted to get the sanctions lifted but that he had no
plan to do so. It also said that the sanctions were highly effective
in getting him to destroy his WMD, and that he was unable to produce
new WMD unless the sanctions were lifted.
