I recently bought a 2000 mustang that has the Mach 460 system. Never
figured it would be such a pain. I am just wondering what wiring harness
I need to install my receiver? I've been searching all night and the
only thing i could find was a generic harness for fords 1986-up (or
something) on crutchfield but it looked incorrect.

The first place I went to (only place open on a sunday) said that they
don't make a harness because you have to bypass the amps. I think they
just wanted me to bring the car in to let them install it.

Is there no such harness? I don't feel like mangling the wires but
everything i've dug up points in that direction.

Any help is appreciated,
Thanks

Is this what you are looking for? (there was no indication of whether or not
it is for the Mach 460 system specifically)

Thanks for the reply, I ended up finding everything on SoundDomain.com
that I needed for the install. Wiring harness looks like the same one
you showed, but also had to get a OEM adapter to control the voltage
going out of the head unit so I don't blow the factory amps. A lot of
people say you don't need it etc etc, but im really not installing the
head unit for a great sound increase.. just so I can use the RCA preouts
and put my digital EQ in there.

Thanks again
