I have a question for you audiophiles:

Are TV's with the built in DVD/VCR's just as good sounding or should I
buy separate units...

I am not looking for anything 'too fancy', just some good decent sound.

I know VCR's are pretty much obsolete these days, but I have so many old
movies that I hate to get rid of them and replace them with dvds.

Thanks for any help, email welcome.

Whether they sound as good could only be determined in the shop, but
one thing you ought to consider is that if something goes wrong with
any of the units you're without the whole lot while it's getting
fixed. For me that's the main reason not to get all-in-ones. Plus the
bulk if you have to transport them.
