The amplifier I have is a 1000w 4ch. I want to use the front channels
which is set up to run 2 speakers to run 4 speakers. I want to add
some pioneer tweeters. Running 6.5" speakers from it now. The rear
channel runs a pair of 6x9's in the back. How should I wire these in
properly? Should I have 2 wires running from the amp?

You should use a passive crossover network to run the 6.5" speakers and the
tweeters. This would still be from only the front channels. The crossover
will send the highs to the tweeter and the lows to the 6.5".

Not with crossovers. There will a crossover for the left channel, and
another for the right channel. One wire runs from the amp to each crossover,
then two wires run from each crossover to the speakers. Does that make any
sense?

You also gotta know your impedences... if the tweeders and the 6.5 are both
8 ohm then yeah you probably could drop the load and still work... You DO
need a cross over... If that tweeder sees any low end it could pop with the
first bass hit it sees...

Except that when she uses a crossover the mid and tweet will be independant
of eachother, so even if they are both 4 ohm speakers, there will only be a
4ohm load on the amp.
