Has anyone used these speakers or read any reviews of them? I've heard the
2-way system, but this is a 3 way system that includes mid-range speakers. I'd
like to hear about some people's experiances actually *using* them in a car, or
at the very least, be pointed towards a test of them.

I've had a chance to listen to Steve Brown's BMW and they were absolutely
incredible. I would say impossible to beat for the price.

That's what it seems. I've listened to MB Quart Q-Series, Focal Utopia Series,
Morel components, and Dynaudio components, and I'm having a hard time
convincing myself that they're actually worth the premium over the Type X's.
Did the Bimmer have the 2-way components, or the 3-way system?

Steve was my Product Application Specialist when I was still in retail and
now he builds Alpine's demo cars with Chris Yato so he gets all of the good
stuff, so , yes, it was the 3-ways.

I assume then that he's also using Alpine's V12 series amps. To bad, none of
them fit my needs.
