Hi,
I just picked up a Nakamichi CD-700 used off Ebay (BIG MISTAKE!!!!!!) and
the moron that sold it to me cut the connector off the power supply, and
also beat the hell out of it. So I got it in the mail today, take it out of
the box, the unit itself has LOSE PARTS floating around inside it, and I
can't even power it up because the molex off the external power supply is
gone....
Anyone have any advice?
Thx

Ya get your money back. If it is not as it is stated in the description then
Ebay will get your money back. But I am not sure how long it will take. You do
not want to spend another dime on that thing if you dont know if it even works.
But even if you have to wait 6 weeks it beats no radio and no money.

I dont think ebay gets involved. They stay out of it.

I pulled the top cover off and immediately noticed that there is a burnt
resistor that's cracked in half and a burn mark and melted plastic on the
cover above it.

I was going to see if the seller wanted to pay for the repairs, but I don't
want to get involved. Just get a refund.

Ebay has buyer protection against bad deals. If it is misrepresented ebay will
help get your money back, i was reading about it the other day.

Just curious, was the burnt part directly behind the rear
mounting screw? (if looking at the back)
