Hello,
I recently took the factory stereo reciever out of my Ford Thunderbird SC
(it has the JBL Premium system). I used the appropriate jumper connections.
The new Audiovox reciever plays well through the rear speakers and the sub
woofer. However, the front speakers play no music but rather emit a low
buzz. Messing with the fader does no good. Also, the rear speakers have no
buzz. Any ideas?
Thanks

are your speakers hooked up through an amplifier? If so check the patch
(RCA) connections on the amplifier and headunit. Also check your wiring to
the speakers from the amp. If you are powering the speakers off the headunit
check your speaker wire connections from the headunit and speaker ends and
make sure they are correct polarity. the speakers might be wired out of
polarity causing them to be out of phase. this is a common problem and is
solved by reversing the polarity of the wiring or changing it from the
headunit (on more advanced models). that might be why they (speakers) are
sounding quiet and muddy, buzzy whatever you want to call it. chech
www.teamrocs.com and read their techpaper on noise troubleshoting. let the
group know what happens
