I've got an Xtant 202m amp and have been advised to bridge it and pair
it up to a JL Audio 10W0 sub.
Bridged the amp specs are 1x200w @ 4ohms
The Sub spec is: Continuous Power Handling: 125 Watts
I assume the amp power is peak 200w, so the sub should be able to
handle it. Is this right, or am I going to blow my sub over time?
I'd rather just get something that can't be blown if I'm risking it
(any suggestions?).
It's going in a convertible Mustang so I was going to put it in a
ported box, although I've had no luck finding one (that's not already
got a sub in it, that is).
This setup http://www.ssan.com/cgi-bin/links/jump2.cgi?ID=529267
ABASS10 Single 10? PORTED BASS enclosure seems like it would do
everything I need without buying seperate components, but I hear
Audiobahn is cheap crap (true?) so maybe I should just get the JL sub
and buy a box seperately.
Thanks in advance, James
