Heres the deal....

My audiobahn Amp Protection light will not come off!!!

- I got a Stinger Power2 Battery, 1700 amps
- 4 GA wire for all the powering
- 10 farad audioban Capacitor bank
- 2 Audiobahn Alum12s 1000 RMS rating for each sub
- 1 Audiobahn 2300HCQ.High Current Series.. four 40a Fuses

I checked all the wiring..eveything is hooked up correctly..no backward
wiring or anything. We tested all the power going to the Cap and
Amp..its reading 13.3 -13.8.

As soon as i put on the Stereo on the amp protection light (status
light) turns red and nothin plays..

One time the amp worked..the status light was red for like 2 seconds
then it turned blue and it was ready to play but we forgot to plug the
remote bass control so we turned it off and plugged it in..when we turn
it on the status light was RED..so obviously we thought it was the Bass
control..so we plug it out to see if it will work again but it
didnt...but before this incident the amp was still giving us the
protection light couple weeks earlier..and it worked for a split second
too..but my input signal was bad..(ran it off my back speakers)..and
giving us some wierd bass noise...but the recently time it worked this
was some bizzar moment that it worked for a second.

We Checked all the fused and none of them were blown. We try the setup
with just the amp..no wiring to the speakers and it still was red. Even
with no input and it was still Red.. We even opened up the amp to see
if anything was burnt...but eveything looked in emaculate condition.
None of the internal wiring was crossing eachother or shorting out

I have the system hooked up to My 97 Maxima's Bose System...i ran the
remote turn on off the back speaker bose amp..theres a 12v line there..
and the input signal for the Amp of that bose amp

Please Help Me Out!
-Chris

P.S thanx for reading this long crap

Are you sure the woofers are okay? Could terminal wires be touching or the
woofers blown?

So, you ran the H/U speaker leads to the RCA input? Am I correct on this?
Not too farmiliar with AudioBahn, but I don't think they have High Level
inputs I could be wrong. But if you sent the H/U's powered speaker leads to
the Low level inputs, you might of taken out the pre-amp section of the amp.

There is your problem, well part
of it anyways. What you need to get in a Line Output Converter, or LOC. That
will convert your high level speaker outputs into something the amp would like
to see.
