I have a question involving the built in high pass filter for the front
and rear speakers in the Pioneer DEH-P9400MP and was hoping someone
would know the answer.

If you are using the RCA preouts for the sub and the front speakers to
separate amplifiers, but powering the rear speakers off of the head unit
will the high pass filter settings for the rear channel work on the line
level outputs for the rear speakers or does it only affect the preout
(which would not be being used in this case).

I have a DEH-P5200, and I think the subwoofer filtering occurs at the
preamp stage. That signal is them amplified through the power section.
So Im pretty sure both the line level and speaker level output is
affected by the same filter.

When the HPF is on it will affect the front and rear powered and rca
outputs.
