how do you know what gauge wire to use ?
power wire ---- ground wire -what are the best brands ?
What's the difference if you use 10 gauge or a 4 gauge ?

Just put 4 gauge in, then if you want to upgrade amps in the future you
don't need to rerun wire, unless you go monster in which case you might need
1/0 gauge.

Use the same size ground wire as power wire.

You can usually get 4 gauge for about $0.90 / ft.

If your power wire is too small you'll lose voltage, less voltage to your
amp means less performance from your amp.

4 gauge should be good for almost 1100 watts of max power.

That is the best way to see what guage to use. If you are thinking of
upgrading think ahead. Brands dont matter, but make sure the wire you
buy is flexible enough for you needs. Good luck, eh?
