This is a fairly personal set of choices, but I will give some examples
(hopefully they will steer you in the right direction)
Let's randomly pick some attributes for me and use them to set up the amp.
1) I am a bass freak. I don't care about any other aspect of music except
hurting myself with the physical presence of low frequency sound.
2) I listen to mostly Rave with a little Rap mixed in for effect.
3) I have no respect for other people that might be stopped at the same
light as I am.
so ... given the above here is how I would set up the amp and why:
QBASST settings - OUT IN 44Hz ... this centers the boost at 44Hz giving the
speakers a bit of a break from trying to play unbelievably loud at really
low freq such as 30Hz. Also the 44Hz center emphasizes the bass rifts of the
rave music which as you can imagine attack at extremely fast pace
Q Select setting - 4 ... this keeps the range of the boost small, after all
I am not interested in blending the sound, only in firing myself out of a
BASS CANNON
QBASST Level control - as close to maximum as I can get it without killing
myself ... I am trying to hurt myself with the bass not kill myself, maxing
out this level control provides the most possible output near 44Hz that the
system can acheive without bothering with the rest of the audio spectrum.

So ... the million dollar question is, What do You want? For an average SQ
install I would say put the QBASST setting at 36Hz, the Q select at 2, and
leave the QBASST level control at minimal, just gaining it a bit (if
necessary) to let the bass support the rest of the music.
What Do you want?
Hope any of this helped.
