I finally got my home brew mp3 player working in my car. After failed
attemps at making a power supply that could handle >5 amps i decided to
go with modules. The sound quality is perfect when the car is off, as
well as when it is at idle, But when i rev the engine above 2k there is
a whine that can be herd, it is quite loud and gets higher in pitch as
the revs increase. I have installed a 220uF electrolytic cap, but that
did not help at all. I have also tried a 100 uH choke, but that made no
difference. I am trying to locate a coil, but i cannot find one in my
town. The modules are ground loop isolated, thus i don't think the
problem is a ground loop. What are my options? Thanks for the help.
