Anybody got a spare N61a power supply for an C61? I thought one might
show up on ebay, but no luck in the last year and 1/2. I'd really like
to get the mic up and running.

I was just getting ready to make the cable for this(I picked up a used
cable from a C12a on ebay with no ends) It is hard to tell from
schematic but it looks as if there are 2 differnt connections on these,
possibly one was a 6pin XLR and there is also a drawing for a 5pin. Can
someone confirm which is on the actual power supply for me, 5 or 6 pin.
I know it's 5 on the mic, thats clearly marked.

Also if anyone has a neumann N61 for a M582 or CMV563 I might be
interested in that as well if the price is right, I'm kind of scrounging
around for those mics, and most of the time they have no supplys.

I really need the AkG one asap though.

I bought a C61 sans power supply several years ago & had Steve Firlotte build a
PSU for it. It wasn't cheap, somewhere in the vicinity of $500 IIRC, but I can
give you his contact info if you're interested.

I can get a Korby and or a Hampton new for around $300, but since I only
paid $80 for the mic from a clueless music store, I figured maybe
someone had something laying around unused on the cheap side.

You need to find another clueless music store who thinks the correct
power supply is a mic preamp (that has the wrong kind of 'plug' on
it). It's gotta be out there somewhere. People don't throw those
things away.

No, but you should have no real problem using one of the Oktava power
supplies on those mikes.

Again it should not be too hard to graft a current production supply onto
one of these mikes.
