I've been doing a spot of research on DVD burners to use as backup
media for my DAW.
I haven't made a decision as yet, but the reivew for the Lite-On
LDW-411S has a section testing C1 and C2 errors on CD-R's, using a
freeware utility written by a Lite-on employee. apparently it only
works on Lite-On drives though.
I'm no expert on CD technology, but I really like the idea of being
able to quality check CD masters when they leave here to go for
mastering or pressing.
