Hello,
I have a Korg Triton, Nord Lead 3, Roland Handsonic, a few other goodies and
have been looking around for recording gear and was wondering:
Q: Do you use a computer system? I have Win XP, can't afford Mac, so; any XP
friendly programs? Used w/ USB Recording? M-Audio? Tascam? MOTU? I do have a
good computer with USB 2.0/FireWire, etc plenty of speed and ram, just clueless
on all the stuff out there
Q: Do you use a stand-alone unit like the Boss BR-Series? Any recommendations
on that type of gear?
I stink at computers; but thats where everyone is going. I like the control
surfaces of the Boss and Roland and Korg recorder; But I keeps reading about
sorta-kinda 24bit recording.
Oh, Why I ask all of this is my pockets for this are about $1500 deep. Yeah, I
know this may be the worst Q ever posed here, but any opinions on how a
non-computer savvy guy can get a $1500-ish piece of gear that can record te
quality that the above machines put out.
