Hello,
The real thread title should read 'worlds stupidest synth player asks naive Qs'
I've tried the M-Box and Tascam USB units; and I just don't have the expertise
to do all the computer set-up and the recording software seems abysmally
complex. It's me, I know.
I think the stand-alone [bad term?] units are the way to go for me. I'm trying
out a BOSS BR1600CD which is fantastically intuitive and easy; I can plop down
tracks no problem. But the specs on this are wanting for a guy like me mostly
recording electronic [Kord Triton; Nord Lead 3; Roland Handsonic...]
This is getting stupider, yes?
My price ceiling is $1,500. And that's a serious ceiling. The new Tascam for
$1,100 looks real nice. Any opinions on what I should be checking out?
