Well, there's ryanm (Dallas), David Morgan (Dallas), myself (near Denton), Earl
Musik (Fort Worth), and there's a few other people I've met that just lurk here.
You, I, David, and Earl have (or work in) commercial studios; most of the others
are either musicians or have private home studios, AFAIK.

I grew up in Weatherford. Went to college on a music scholarship there
many years ago. Small world! I'm now in Swee****er, Texas, west of
Abilene.

Grew up in Ft. Worth. Paschal, class of '68 (so I'm old ;). I wonder if it's
still even standing. I'll be back there on March 3. Guess I'll do a driveby
and see. My dad's side of the4 family is from rising Star..........about
halfway between DFW and Swee****er.

I've been through Rising Star many times in my life. Did you know a barber
there by the name of Red Gilkerson (50's-60s)? Also, attended many track
meets (years ago- I'm "old", too) where Paschal also participated when I was
growing up in Weatherford. So, you've watched Slam Bang Theater a few
times, huh? :)

I guess you accidently posted our e-mail thread to the group :-) No problem,
I'll answer it here. Don't know the barber, not that old :-) I have watched
Slam Bang Theater many times, though. I used to watch Channel 11 all the
time. Remember Cowboy Weaver?

I don't remember Red Gilkerson, but if he was there in the 50's, he probably
cut my hair, my dad's hair and my grandfather's and uncles' hair. I doubt if
there were too many barbers in rising Star........and yes, I have watched
Icky Twerp and Delphinnium approximatly 647983421 times in my life.

Carrollton, really, but no one knows where that is unless they are
local. For non-D/FW people, it's a fairly small suburb north of Dallas. I'm
near the intersection of the Dallas North Tollway and the 190.

We've either got a lot of people on vacation, or lurkers that won't
speak up. I meet someone almost every month that says they've
'seen' me here.
