Does anybody know what mikes/miking techniques/mixing techniques were
used to record drums on Gary Numan's "Pleasure Principle"? These pretty much
sound like the absolute perfect drums to me.

was Gary Numan part Simmons drum sounds mixed with heavily processed real
drums?

I can remember him having real drums live.. But when i saw the Stranglers
back in '83.. Jet had this switch to change all his drum sounds to the
Simmons kit for some songs.


The studio Numan stuff sounds like a lot of compression and then flange (
at least on "We Are Glass")
